Penthouse for sale in New York for $4,495,000
There is no reason why the rest of the rooftops cannot be utilised in such a manner.
I never know if worlds like this belong in fantasy or science fiction. Either way it is real.

Nightscapes
1. This 360 degree panorama was taken from inside an old stone threshing floor. The shot was taken at Agia Sofia, Ikaria.
2. A 360 degree panorama at Agia Sofia, Ikaria. See the strangely shaped rock and the Orion constellation rising from the other side few minutes before the daylight covers all the stars. Sand bubbler crab
Sand bubbler crabs live in burrows in the sand, where they remain during high tide. When the tide is out, they emerge on to the surface of the sand, and scour the sand for food, forming it into inflated pellets, which cover the sand. The crabs work radially from the entrance to their burrow, which they re-enter as the tide rises and destroys the pellets.
Things like this remind me of the incredible possibilities we science fiction writers have when making aliens. There can be so much more variety than their is.
Create an alien race in an hour, focusing on being unique and researching actual animal behavior as a starting point.
